Toshiba laptop

August 5th, 2016

Hi guys. Trying to replace a laptop screen. It’s a Toshiba Satellite, model number c55t-c5300 (it ‘s a touch screen). A cellphone drop on the screen, and left the screen looking like ink splattered all over it. Can’t seem to find a screen replacement for it anywhere, i checked amazon and ebay, with no luck. Can you all help in locating one and some recommended sites? In the US preferably.
Answer #1
Get the screen manufacturer (LG, Chi Mei, Samsung, etc.) and part number on the back of the LCD panel and use that for your google search. Saw one on Ebay for $80 using the laptop model number.
Answer #2
This one is the touch screen only

Yup that’s the only one i saw on amazon. So below the touch screen, there is a LCD screen as well? If so that one maybe damaged also? Not seeing any cracks on the screen though. Just the ink platter look.

The broken LCD is the ink splatter look. The layer below the glass is damaged. The outermost piece, the digitizer on Amazon, may or may not be damaged. You could get the LCD and keep your fingers crossed on the digitizer or try to find both as a package deal. Using the panel part number will increase your search results as different brands of laptops might use the same panel.
