Extend ipod touch battery life

i have ipod touch 4g and i am using almost everyday but always at 70%-40% i charging it i heard that this not good i must let the battery runs out and then charge.this will break the battery and in the end will not stay in alive and runs out quickly.if once a month i runs out the battery at 0% and then charging will be better

It’s always best to fully discharge rechargeable batteries every now and again, it does extend the life of the battery. If you are afraid of it running out of power when you are out, then buy a backup battery/charger, they are quite cheap.

Download BatterDoctor from the App Store. Read the app description and it will help you extend your battery life.
Also another way to extend your battery life is to switch off Apple’s multitasking (jailbreak tweak), sometimes you forget how much apps are running in the background. This is the most battery consuming thing.

i dont know .so if i fully discharge ipods battery once a month i will help to break it?
(i am satisfied about the battery life but i am afraid if i fully discharge once maybe it will discharge faster than before)
