Gaming on Windows Server 2008/2008R2

Anyone know if it is possible to play games on Windows Server 2008 (or R2, or Datacenter)?
I can get legit editions of 2008 for free with a student licence and wouldn’t mide actually been able to get windows updates. Granted the GUI of server isn’t anything like 7, but I couldn’t give a rats ass about that

You can enable the aero interface on 2008 R2. If you can get the games to install they would run exactly the same. Getting them to install would be another story as most installers will throw an error upon detecting a server operating system. Here’s a good resource for what you’re planning to do.

You can get em just fine if you use windows loader (best activation crack around),No need to go that far really.

You got it wrong,I meant that he should stick with Win7 and use that activator,Server 2008 is far from ideal for his intended usage.

Even though I disable windows update on every install, it’s only a matter of time before I accidentally allow the MS website to verify windows when I need to grab a specific update of some kind (C++ Redist for example). Complete ball ache to rectify.

Dude,Windows loader will make it appear 100% genuine,No need to worry about those kinda checks,You’ll be able to update windows/verify genuine status just fine.
