XP Size

In win2000 if you type in \\servername\C$ it will open a new window, and you can finde out how mauch free space that drive has, but if you do that same thing on XP it does not,
Does any one know if this can be done?
Right click the drive > Properties and its there??
im not sure if i got the question right cause it seems simple to find out how much space a particular drive has.
