Worth getting microsoft office sp1?

I was wondering if it is worth it to get microsoft office sp1, since my current copy is having trouble validating, and i do not want to get a new one.

Which version of Office are you talking about?
I’ve applied all service packs to Office 2003 and 2007 (non-validated) without any problems (yet!).

I have microsoft office 2007 and it is a verry good version

wait if i install the service pack seperately after i install office, would it work for sure, or would it ask for me to validate?
