windows xp not picking up internet connection

August 1st, 2016

Iv never had this problem before, its a fresh install after it was repaired by dell, they added a new motherboard graphics card and heatsink.. once XP is installed its not picking up the connection, and normaly it would just pick it up straight away so i dont know what to do..
Iv tried going into the network wizard and setting up but that doesnt work, i also tried reinstalling xp thinking it could have been a bad install but again that didnt help. so yeah anyone know how i can get it to work? :\

sounds like you need to install your network drivers
go to device mgr to check for a network adapter

Agreed with this but first go to bios and check is your lan card enabled if it is enabled install drivers, and if it is disabled, enable it then install drivers.
