is it possible to use oem license on the retail version? in my country, laptops come with nothing ( without any disc ) and i screwed up the previous oem by reformatting it to another version. what im trying to do now is do a clean install of retail (any stated above) and use my oem license. Or is there any way around it?

I doubt it, though don’t know for certain.
M$ would be daft to overlook the possibility of people trying that.
Probably your best bet is to use one of preactivated downloads.

thanks for your advice, but its the home premium oem that i want, and the 48 in 1 only provide oem for general purpose, does it matter?

I use the disk and it works fine. And I have never had to put in product key because its oem. Works fine and activated. I have used on dell hp and toshiba laptops.
