Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit Activation Problem

August 5th, 2016

Hello,
I have been pulling my hair our today trying to get my system “genuine” again. I have been running Win 7 Ultimate for about 4 months no problem. I purchased a larger SSD and just installed Windows from scratch using an old boot USB drive that I had made a long time ago. I used KMSMicro or whatever to activate and everything was fine.
A few days ago I got the error: “Windows 7; Build 7601; This copy of windows is not genuine”
I have restored WAT, removed WAT, tried about 5 diferent activators, followed registry edit tutorials- nothing seems to be working! And it seems as though most license activators do not support Win 7 Ultimate.
Please shed some light on my situation. I really do not want to do a fresh install again.

Core i5
12GB ram
Intel SSD
My “Product ID” has OEM in it…

The best activator for Windows 7 Ultimate is the Daz loader..
Check out the sticky topic in the Helpdesk section..

I have tried the Daz loader twice and still get the prompt upon reboot…

I guess your new SSD has been partitioned using UEFI/GPT
Daz Loader will not work with these GPT disks, it only works under MBR partitioning..
KMSpico works under GPT or MBR, but for Windows 7, it only does Professional or Enterprise (not Ultimate).
You can read all about it here…But bottom line is you need to reinstall a different breed of Windows 7 (use Professional)
or re partition in MBR (or do both to keep your options open).

There are ways of converting GPT to MBR without loosing data, but, as it says, NOT for a system disk.
