Windows 7 history and other things need help

Hey all.
I’m using windows 7 64bit pro edition and i’m having some queries about it.
First off, i would like to know how to erase the history on the top right corner, where it has a search box in ‘windows explorer’. I do not want to disable the funciton completely, just the easier way to clear its history.
Secondly, when i press “down” arrow into the address bar of windows explorer (when its an empty field), i get a whole drop box of things i don’t want to see at all. how do i erase this from showing?
Also, when i goto start>run, theres a history in there, and when i press , say the letter d it’ll show a few paths starting with d:/ and i wish to not have this.
Lastly, when ever i type somethign in the start menu to search for programs, its brilliant i love it. But how do you control that it’ll just search for programs and not pictures, files and etc? It is abit annoying having to type “J” or “IMG” and all your pictures comes up.

Hey , you could try Ccleaner. Just google it and try the first hit. Just download it. It’s total free ware which empties your bin, cleans your history and search results and stuff. Before using it try checking if the correct configuration is set. Like incase you don’t want it to clean your bin.
Although, for some reason I can’t get it fully properly working on My pc with W7. It doesn’t fully clear my internet history, but all other things it does.
Ohyeah, it also is updated with W7 stuff, it also cleans jumplists. If you don’t want it to do that, untick the box.

I will look into that program really soon. But I (being a curious one ) would like to know how to do it manually. Especially since some folders i have it NOT indexed it still shows up on start menu search
