Wii Update Help

I am using the flatmod inside my wii and am having problems running games like EA sports active as it is asking for an update everytime i insert the game. I am running 3.4E with a pal wii.
I contacted the flatmod team and they are not helpful, they told me to get a copy of need for speed underground and use the update from that game…after that everything should work, however i am worried about bricking my wii, has anyone tried that method???

Best to use wii region free program or was it wii brick blocker.

my modchip has an update blocker anyway, everytime i try to run the game the screen goes blank and the wii crashes, i think the problem is to do with the wii wants some kind of update to run but not sure what to do

I meant that you have the source image, remove the update from the image and burn it to a DVD again.

yup done that twice and the same thing happened twice, the screen goes blank and the wii crashes

Try another game with the same region as your console. I mean the same game from a different source.

I used 2 different games from the same region as mine if thats what you mean.
Just wondering if i do run the update from the game disc on NFSU will it brick my wii, i have softmodded in the past and restored the wii to remove it but am worried that the mod has remained in the nand blocks.

Not sure, its weird.
My console is modded with 3.2U firmware, I haven’t got a update from any game I found. But that was my case.

ok thanks anyway, ill try the NFSU method…if it breaks ill blame the admin over at flatmod
