What can I use to edit an avi file and make the audio louder

I took a video with my phone in a 3gp format.. converted to avi but I need to cut off the first 20 seconds of it or so and turn the volume up on it so it’s louder

sony vegas??? thats the video editing software i use…but im not sure if your just looking for a small software

I found out how to cut down the video/cut off part of it. I just need how to make the audio louder

Convert it into mp3 using Total Video Converter and import it in Adobe Audition. You can adjust its audio there.
