maxmixMuxing is combining audio, video and subtitles in one file.
EDIT: Respone to the post under me: It means that the subs are included in the file (hard or softcoded). So if you play the file you would normaly be able to see the subtitles.

Muxed susbtitles: Subtitle file muxed with audio & video stream. MKV and MP4 support that, AVI doesnt. Can be disabled from the player.
Hardcoded: Burned on the frames of the video. Can’t be removed.

Muxing is just the act of combining video, audio or sub files into one file, AVI supports this. You just can’t put soft coded subs in an AVI file.

Fundamentally muxed means you can turn off the subtitles in your player, whereas in hardsubbed videos the subtitles are burnt to the image and can’t be removed without cropping.

Muxed means, there is no ‘.srt’ or ‘.sub’ file .. there is just one video file and it has subtitles ..
its not hardsubbed, so u can turn off/on the subs whenever you need.
