Website + program help

Hey guys, i want to make a website where the user will enter a date and then an answer will come up, any ideas?

The way I’d chose to do this is via AJAX (Asyncrhonous Java And XML) and database with answers. But correct me if I understood wrong – you want for the user to enter a date and the website shows the answer of what happened on that date, right?
