August 6th, 2016

hello everyone,
well can anyone tell me why windows 7 even when idle consumes atleast a 26% of my RAM. is there someway to disable this unnecessary RAM consumption.
thanks in advance

RAM is there to be used, more RAM usage = less page file usage and a faster computer.
Answer #2
go into task manager, proceses tab, sort by memory usage. that will tell you what is using the ram. but as above, more stuff in ram = less stuff being read off disk = faster computer
Answer #3
I’ve just had a look at mine in Aida64 (nothing running apart from Aida) and that shows 28% usage, so I assume yours is nothing unusual. I have to agree with the others though about more ram usage = faster computer.
If everything is working OK and you don’t have problems with software loading/working I wouldn’t worry about it.

Mine is fine
