Trying To Print A Big Block Poster Need Help

February 8th, 2021

I got a new printer today to print a block poster 25 full color pages only got 13 full color 300 dpi pages the I got a msg that said the color cartridge was low only 13 pages really. I blew through 2 cartridges trying to print this block poster if I would have not close the program out when it asked me to switch the color cartridge. Cartridge showed it was only had 63% color left and it started printing everything in pink wow 63% has cartridge is empty that is still a lot left sucks. I am going to switch to a XL version of the color cartridge and try print this thing one last time if this one does not last long enough to print these 25 full color pages this print is junk. I found a cheaper xl cartridge on Amazon do you think it is a good deal??

I would like to be able to get 75 to 100 full color pages from the xl version but I really think I only get 45 full color.

I dont know if its a good deal or not, but the cartridge stating there is still 63% of colour left, and the program not continuing to print may be because the cartridges use 3 colours, which are mixed to make each colour printed on the paper. It could be because say 2 of the colours are almost full but one is near empty.. Another cheaper alternative depending on the printer and cartridges could be to get a refill kit. They are easy enough to use, simply get 3 colours and a syringe or two, and use the syringe to fill the liquid into the appropriate colour.. After you have done it once its easy, and its like 1/4th the price then buying a new cartridge.. (There is also refilling places around where I live, may or may not be where you live, and not game to try refilling yourself.)

Here’s something I found the other day about printers..

I use an Epson and you can get like 10 cartridges for $10 on eBay.
Epson and Brother cartridges can be cheap because they are only an ink tank
and don’t contain the heads themselves like the other brands.
I see there are some ink refill kits available for yours.
