Suspected Keylogger

August 5th, 2016

A few minutes ago, i booted my comp and launched a game called Uplink: Hacker Elite. Surprisingly, some of the keys did not work so i pressed Exit. Then i tried MS’s procedure(unplug from USB and reboot). Then i removed all the keys from the keyboard and found no dust, no insects, nothing. So i browsed multiple forums including here. As i was typing this with on screen keyboard, suddenly some numbers were spammed in without me typing. I kept fighting it clicking the backspace button but it just wouldn’t work. Then he started opening a new tab on my google chrome and spammed Windows Media Player so i immediately shutdown, hoping to disconnect him from my comp. I suspect a keylogger involved in this. No this is not a fake, he is back. Video can be provided for proof DO NOT LOCK THIS. I’m on a public computer.

maybe coz your on a public computer you are being remote controlled. ie. Radmin. check around you to see if someone is doing something suspicious

Answer #3
Have you tried a differant Keyboard? May just be that keys are stuck down. No-one can have access to your PC without authoriastion ie. Landesk, this is because of the DPA (Data Protection Act).
And where you could have been cleaning the keyboard the keys you pressed whilst dusting it could have continued over when you placed the keyboard back in.
Video would be nice, You can also try and explain more @ Gaz-1992@hotmail.co.uk
Hope this help’ed.

well its for sure that the pc is controlled remotely. Go home 9if you havent) and disconnect it from the internet. After change router/modems pass and scan your pc. Dont connect it to the internet again till its clean. Try calling your ISP to change your IP address also, its alot safer then leaving it the same, the person for sure may know what it is and attempt again
Answer #5
hmmmmm he stopped. but my keyboard is stll locked ;(
Answer #6
Plug the keyboard into a different computer to see whether its the hardware at fault.
Answer #7
k i’lldo that
Fixed, bought a new keyboard. Looks like someone dripped water inside which made it press some keys occasionally.
