Stoping outlook appointments from someone else

So is there a way to stop appointments that somebody sends you and erase it from the outlook that the person send it from. I know when you decline one it still pops up in the other persons outlook. How can i make it not pop up in that others person outlook?

decline and do not send a response , you cannot control the “other person’s” outlook

If I do that will it not appear in mine and hers or just mine?
