If from Toronto, please tell me what ISP u use, and how good they are
Dynamic IP. Safer and better for you.
when does the IP actually change? during connections? cause that means that i loose connection for a bit. or does it change when i start my comp?
your IP changes when the router/Modem restarts
alright, thanks.
Dynamic would be good, only resets when you uplug router I have static ip…and sucks if you ever get ip banned from private trackers and want to rejoin them Although recently just changed my IP to another static one so i could rejoin some sites. had to call in my ISP lolz
haha alright, thanks
Definitely use dynamic for home pc use and gaming.
Also recommended is changing your ip address at least once a day, also think about spoofing your mac address.

No need to explain harder about dynamic & static, since; you know what is the difference… but I recommend you to use dynamic IP… Static IP will end you up with nothing.. it’s just like a house arrest…. dynamic will always stand behind you…. Cheers!!
Dynamic IP of course, it is safer. And it restarts when you restart the modem/router manually or the modem/router restart itself.
I have the IP to download rapidshare and maybe to see many websites for a few times.
This should be able to help clarify the difference.

Hope this helps.
Well you can change your static ip as well but it may cost you an ISP ban.
Dynamic ip would be a wiser choice for you.
on my opinion .. Static IP is better than dynamic ip.
People before me have said it – Dynamic IP is better than static. It enables you to change your IP very easily, which means you can download from RapidShare as much as you want plus other cool privileges
It all also depends on what you want with your IP address. For and example if you want to download all day from RS (free user of course), or online gaming then “Dynamic Ip” address is ideal for your needs. If you want to run a server, off your internet connection then a “Static Ip Address” is ideal for your needs. Servers should have a Static IP address’s, however if you are unable to afford one or obtain one from your ISP then Dynamic DNS would be an alternate solution.
EDIT: Typically unplugging your modem for 30-60 seconds won’t give you another IP address, most of the time it would take a matter of hours, also all dynamic IP address have a IP lease time limit set by your ISP. When the lease expires you will receive a new address, the lease can last anywhere from a few days to a few months.
if you suffer from frequent power cuts, then get a static ip. Otherwise if you have a power cut, or need to switch routers, you will have to reboot your modem each time the splitter turns of or gets replaced. (shouldnt be to often)
dynamic ips are handy for bypassing ip blocks, can be considered safer cuz 1 ip can’t be traced back to you, but static ips are less hassel to set up, especially if you often have networking problems.
