[Solved]vista 32 crash

Hey,
Well this is the problem i keep having my system that is crashing it works on vista home premium x32, now i was wondering if there is an xp professional version sp2 with sata support And this is what i get when i boot up blackscreaan with just windows explorer running, then i have to go to task manager and do new task explorer.exe it’s already the 4 or 5 time it’s real irritating thats wy i want to go back to xp but cant’t use xp sp3 because my 3g wireless internetstick doesn’t work with sp3 or it’s not mentionted any how.
can any one help me i’ve got an xp professional original but doesn’t suport sata

With Sata support or without it…I’m confused..On the first line you are saying with sata support…at the end you said xp professional original but doesn’t suport sata?

Reformat and install Vista cuz something you did mess it up. And i feel ya about explorer.exe crashing must had been an update, i usually avoid M$ updates but since i last updated a month ago explorer dies on me all the time but after few seconds comes back alive and im using Vista Home Premium too. Before you reformat make sure you have your Vista key so you can reinstall it again.

All Xp copies support sata. From what I remember reading it was put in in (windows) 2000. If it dosnt support it then maybe your drivers for the stick were/are bad?

Read again…Original XP Install CD never supported SATA drivers…

that’s true but you need to add the drivers during install in most cases until SP3
there’s a number of XP SP3 uploads that have the SATA drivers intergrated, but not all have it

Thanks guys but i fixed it and reinstalled my vista, have and xp black sp3 sata ready but that doesn’t support my wireless g3 usbmodem i bought for when i’m in hospital they don’t have internet for the patients sometimes the night shift lets me use there’s but for the rest i had to use my cellphone and that costed me an arm and a leg. But i’m really thinking about updateting to vista ultimate don’t know jet have to look at the price at dell for custumer discount
