[SOLVED] Rescaling video resolution
August 5th, 2016
so now i have to watch it by choosing the “zoom in by aspect ratio” in GOM Player which somehow perfectly stretches to it in the correct resolution, as you can see:
So, can someone tell me how I can resize the resolution of the video file[/img] instead of choosing functions like the one in GOM Player?
GOM or the video codec/filter have a “aspect ratio” option
try source, 16*9 or anamorphic as 544*320 is the correct aspect ratio, as the video file has black bars top & bottom
brightened the pics to show black bars
your top pic is full screen, your bottom pic is the correct aspect ratio as far as size is concerned
This problem is caused by the bars on the top and the bottom.
They are “hardcoded” in the video and this makes your video stretched while playing…
If i were you, i would reconvert that movie and i would crop the bars
Not the fastes solution, but the permament one
If you get ffdshow there are options to crop and resize images while playing. By the look of it, whoever encoded it made a bit of a mess of it and it would probably be easier to find a better rip.

could you please refer a good software, I tried a few but they dont work properly
Nero Recode or MeGUI
Thank You !
You’d actually go through the trouble wasting 1-2 hours re-encoding it just to resize it to a 16:9 format?
It’s 2 clicks in Media Player Classic to get the correct aspect ratio, and in MPC you can set it so it ALWAYS uses that aspect ratio.
