(Solved) missing codec ?

each time i try to add either of these 2 mpeg files, 1 is 894 MB the other is 902 MB to “windows movie maker” i keep getting this message.

what codec do i need
any help would be cool.

U could try k-lite mega codec pack i guess, or u could just download Ulead Video studio :p Really easy program btw.

Get the Vista Codecs Package (works on XP too). It will solve your codecs problem and you will be able to play every kind of video used out there.

Why dont you use, a different Program to convert it to dvd format?
Like convertXtoDVD

thanks for replying everyone. ^ yea i use convertxtodvd if burning a dvd. what im trying to do is just edit it to clips in avi wmv or w.e format. would anybody know what codec id need exactly to edit it using windows movie maker
