[Solved] Changing colors in Paint

August 1st, 2016

Hello, First up I’ll mention I know nothing about MS Paint.
What I’m trying to do is help someone.
So what they are wanting to do is change color of a picture.
It’s very basic, as in its just an outline.
Background is white and picture is just black lines.
Is it possible to change the black lines to yellow and how please.
As said I know nothing about paint as don’t use it much.
Hope I’ve explained it ok.
EDIT :
I’m on my phone so hope this image is correct.
I’m using this image as an example.

So if this was picture, how to change all black to yellow??

Hmmm… My first look at it, suggests MS Paint is too stupid to do this kind of edit.
Certainly, the more sophisticated packages allow selection by colour. Once the pixels of that colour have been selected, then it’s easy to swap them to another colour with an edit function.
It looks to me like Paint does not have the ability to “select by colour”.
I hope someone with more Paint experience might chime in.
Otherwise, I’m hoping your friend is able to download the opensource Gimp package and use it for the problem.

Was afraid it was too basic.
I’ve edited post above with an image as an example of what I’m meaning in post.

Given a simple image like the one in the sample, of course, Paint may be used to open the image and then simply draw over the top of the black pixels with yellow pixels, using a very steady hand. You may use the View / Zoom in command to make it easier to get into any tight corners.

Image is VERY basic indeed .
That idea was suggested, but it’s not really workable.
I just thought it would of been a very basic thing to ask program to change anything black to yellow. But thanks for time for time.

Try Paint.net, it has an utility that will change the color of the selection. Try the wand anonym.to/http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/MagicWand.html

Thanks .
But they’ve decided to choose another image instead.
