Is there anyway of watching sky TV in 2 rooms with out multiroom?
Thanks All
no it isnt possible without, i believe
totally possible, get a magic eye just google for it
This answer is rather bland. but i do remember seeing something dealextreme.com or dse.co.nz it was a cable that splits audio and video. So you would only be able to watch what ever the person is watching in the lounge. I know this isnt much help but it is a possible solution if you find it.
Digisenders work well use one myself with no problems if you’re in the uk aldi sell one for 27.99 which is good value and works well.

Yup – I used a digisender before getting multi-room, however, you can only watch the same channel in both rooms at the same time. Make sure you get one that works in the 5GHz range, otherwise you will get a lot of interference on the 2.4 MHz range if you are in a built up area (from wi-fi, microwave ovens etc).
You can get em on E-bay quite cheaply, even Maplins do them cheap, and I don’t normally recommend there.
*edit – a much cheaper way would be to simply run a co-ax cable from the SKY box to the other TV, there is two Co-ax output sockets on a SKY box. You can get digieye to change channels from the other room. I guess it would depend on the length of the run, and awkwardness of doing it this way. You can get co-ax cable and the connectors cheap, and it would be perfect quality.
