Semi-Complicated problem, involving web-hosting

November 19th, 2013

okk, so here is my problem.
i work at a call center, and they have a web sense running. basically everything is blocked, but the websense is not 100%, so thereare a few crappy game sites and stuff that is not blocked, and we are generally allowed to acess anything that isint blocked, as long as we dont try to get sneaky and use proxies etc.
but the problem is that the sites we can get into is all crap with flash games from 1901, so im thinking of getting a webpage hosted, with a really weird name and with no words or tags on it so it doesent get blocked by the websense, and just embed a few good work games into it. im thinking minecraft, sim tower, maybe an older version of simcity, swords and sandals, something along these lines, but i am not entirely sure of how i would go about doing this as i am a complete noob in these matters.
basically what im looking for from helpdesk, is some suggestions of a good webhosting service that would allow me to achieve my goal, and perhaps some coding instructions on how i would embed the minecraft.jar or the simcity.exe into the webpage, so it gets loaded up without me having to download form the page (which we cannot do)
thanks!

You’re not going to be able to pipe the output from an EXE into a web site. If the Minecraft .jar file is portable, you can just embed it into a web page hosted somewhere. But the likelihood is that a) it’s probably locked down to the minecraft.net server, and b) it needs access to that site’s game content, so if it’s blocked anyway then you’re stuck. What I’d do is find some decent flash games to play, and if they’re not available anywhere else (which is doubtful, if it’s anywhere near a decent game), upload it to your own space.

that answers most of my question, thanks, but do u know any good web hosting services that will be enough for my goal? not looking for some 50 bucks a month professional webhost, just something that would let me host some 5 or 6 flash games.
Answer #3
Just join a VPN provider and bypass the blockage.
Do note however that spending most of your work time gaming
instead of working is unrecommended and could get you in trouble.
Answer #4
If you don’t mind having your machine on at home, get something from DynDNS and set up your router to forward HTTP.
Answer #5
while these options are all valid and good, they will not work for me. i CANNOT use any means of bypassing the system, that could get me in trouble, as they do monitor and can take screencaps. but if i host my own site, and make sure it does not trigger websense, than that will be fine as they will have no way of knowing i was the one who made the site.

If you want to use the site for your personal use then go for a free domain such as .tk or .co.cc (deindexed by google) and a free hosting such as 000webhost or bytehost.
Important thing is that do not include ‘Games” or similar words in your domain or title or description or keywords. Otherwise websense can block your website.
