Samsung TV Settings

Can anyone tell me how to get the best quality on my LCD TV. Seems bit blurry round edges of objects on screen..
Gaming wise I would like to improve alot.
TV is a Samsung 40″ LCD.

model would help?, is HDMI?, then use HDMI cables, make sure the devices is set to HD if using HDMI cables, and not normal.
