Running PS2 games on computer/laptop

Hello
How can I run a PS2 game on my laptop? I have downloaded the PS2 ISO and I tried running it with PCSX2 but if I’m not mistaken that program is from around 2004?
Is there any program more up to date that can do this trick?
Because with PCSX2 my screen is constantly shaking.
Also can I plug my xbox USB controller in my laptop and play the emulated game with the controller?

Not all games run perfectly on it.
And you need a decent computer to emulate the PS2 hardware.
What’s your system spec and what game are you trying to play using the emulator?

I just finally tried this yesterday. It rocks. Playing God of War in 1920×1080 with Xbox controller. Awesome.
It works the same way as Dolphin, the Wii emu. It renders the graphics in much higher resolutions, so it real HD, it doesn’t just scale the graphics up.
I am running it on i5 2500k @ 4300mhz and HD5770. Runs well.

If the screen is constantly shaking, press F5 to change interlace. There are 5 in total of different interlaces.
I suggest getting a really good computer instead of playing on a laptop too. I can play Sims Medieval just fine with enhancements but I have some trouble with the speed of the PCSX. Definitely get a good card too.
In the mean time, maybe you can try instead with PS emulator or a DS emulator.

I don’t get it to work properly, the disc just won’t boot.
And everytime I want to download it, it takes me to a survey?
Anyways I’m trying to run my all time favorite on the ps2: Romance of the three kingdoms VIII
My system is an i5 4GB laptop with 1GB graphics card.
What bios and plugins do I need? I’m a bit confused

Nothing Plug in controller, configure the buttons in the controller setup of the default plugin. It was very easy.

EDIT: Got game working, only problem now is the text. It normally should be white but it’s black instead. So now I’m having a hard time seeing what stuff I can do and what stuff I can’t do because that’s normally black.
Any ideas?

Hm, not sure. Search on the emulator homepage forums. Might be the game is not 100% ok

a) The game doesn’t work 100%
b) Interlace
c) Your video ‘Renderer’ is Direct3D9 not 10 but if you want 10 you still need a good graphics card for the program to use 10.
