Remote laptop connection

Hey, im looking for some way to hook up an external HD to my laptop at home and then access it from another computer. Any thoughts?

you could just share the drive over the windows network

I have a Network drive connected to my router…And i can access anywhere on the net or from LAN…Not sure if this helps…
