can i mix my old memory pc5400 ddr2 667mhz and pc2-5300 667mhz ? help pls thank you
Answer #1
Pc2 is ddr2 so they should work. Just make sure the voltage rating on both are compatible with your motherboard.
Answer #2
It should, just make sure that the voltages and timings are in sync
It is also preferable that the ram sticks be the same size
Answer #3
the only restriction for memory modules that they should have same ddr. you cant mix ddr2 with ddr3 or smth like that. other than that you can mix everything with different sizes and different speeds. they will automatically synchronize at lowest memory you have installed , in your case both of memory have same speed and they will work at 667. if your motherboard is not 10 years old or smth like that , it does the voltage part for you by choosing lowest speed among rams for you so you dont need to tweak anything.
if there isnt any compatibility issue specific to motherboard and memory combination which is a rare case. you will have no significant performance issues by installing those 2 memory.

as said, you should be fine.
but keep in mind, you may run in to problems…
