Questions about burning an Xbox360 game.

September 4th, 2019

Hey everyone, first off I want to say thanks to the W-BB community for a great site… I have some questions though about downloading/burning/and playing the games on my Xbox 360.
-Once I download all the parts, will I have a .iso file?
-Will I need any specific software to burn the .iso file correctly for Xbox360 format?
-What type of disc must I use to burn these large files?
-Are there any risks in playing with a burnt copy?
-Does this require any physical/hardware mods to the Xbox 360 its self?
Thanks everyone! I’m kinda new to downloading console games and trying to play them so any additional help would be greatly appreciated!

No, you’ll have +/- 65 .rar files, and when you extract that, you’ll either have another 65 WinRAR files or a .iso. If you end up with another set of WinRAR files, just extract again and you’ll get the .iso. (You’ll also have a .dvd file, but depending on what burning program you use you may not need it.)
-Will I need any specific software to burn the .iso file correctly for Xbox360 format?
You’ll need any burning software that is capable of burning images to discs. I suggest DVD Decrypter. There’s a link for it in my sig.
-What type of disc must I use to burn these large files?
DVD+R dual layers. High quality ones are better for your console, use either Sony or Verbatim.
-Are there any risks in playing with a burnt copy?
Yes. You CAN be banned from XBL for having hacked firmware and playing burnt games. While the risk is low for getting caught, it’s still an option, and a lot of people are suspecting a large ban after the dashboard update this week.
-Does this require any physical/hardware mods to the Xbox 360 its self?
Yes and no. You’ll need to open the 360, but won’t need any additional hardware (except for the possibility that you may need to buy a SATA card compatible with flashing your 360’s drive).

Check the link in my sig for a detailed all inclusive tutorial.

You must have enabled litesurf. Go to your profile settings (at the top with the other handy stuff) and disable litesurf
