PSP – How easy to hack?

Been thinking of getting a PSP in Januaryish, but I don’t want to have to pay for games to be honest! How easy are they to hack so they play downloaded/’backups’ of games? I’m guessing it’s got something to do with putting games on memory sticks, can anyone enlighten me? Thanks
Also, on a side note can you play PS1/PS2 games on the PSP? Like is there an emulator available?

I think ps1 games but not ps2..

i dont think you can play either, the psp uses entirely different hardware to it. You can get PS1/2 emulators though to play on pc…… To hack the psp, its relatively easy (friend told me this) you need custom firmware and pandora’s battery

Thanks for your replies just been looking at other posts, seems like the PSP 3000 or the Slim&Light can’t be hacked, is this still true?

yea its true. Probably still working on it, its the same as the DSi un-hackable (yet)
