hello im about to buy a psp so any1 knows what firmwire i shd look for?i need the psp to play mp4 videos,mp3 songs and cso and iso games.,…

with the new psp’s as far as im aware you will have to put it back to 1.5 with pandora’s battery. For mp4’s and mp3’s all you need is a memory stick the psp can play those with needing to hack it,

To play mp4’s and mp3’s no. But for downloaded games etc. yes you need the custom firmware. Just also be aware that if the firmware is higher than 3.40 you won’t be able to downgrade it.

I prefer you to buy 1.5 or 2.71 which these days u will only be able to find at ebay or amazone…

Yeah make sure before you buy if buying from a site like ebay or amazon you find out what exact firmware it is running.

You can downgrade above 3.40, but usually its easier to go straight to custom firmware from the later versions.
ALSO if you buy a PSP slim, you will never be able to downgrade to 1.50 because of hardware issues, so itll be straight to 3.71 M33 using pandoras battery for you
