PSN Account Questions [SOLVED]
November 17th, 2013
When i created a new account, with my current address, I realized that online play felt better.
MY QUESTION IS: Does the address on the PSN account determine where you connect for Online play?
ALSO:
Can I transfer trophies, saves, and other data from one account to another [as i understand you cannot change the address of a PSN account]
-Cheers
That’s a good question – one that I don’t know a truthful answer to, but I do believe that whatever country you set your PSN account under, you’ll connect to those in that country. As for listing your home address or any other address, I don’t think it matters.
As for your second question, at this time there’s no possible way to transfer your trophies to another account. You can transfer your save game data by inserting a USB flash drive and copying those saves to it, then move them to the new address. However, some game saves are copy protected, so you won’t be allowed to copy that save to a USB drive. If you had a PS+ account, you could easily back up your saves and junk, but I believe it’s linked to your account. As for game data and game updates, as long as you keep them on your HDD, any account shouldn’t have to install data or updates each time you want to play in a different account.
Hmmm, Is there any hack done for it? Ppl have hacked games for PS3, there must be some way of moving saves from one account to another?
Well, it could be possible to move copy protected saves if you have a jailbroken PS3, but to be honest I wouldn’t know the first step on how to even do so. I also think you need older firmware to even succeed. I also believe you have to buy one of those USB dongles that initiates the jailbreak upon the PS3.
Hmmm…. guess its a waste of time..
Anyways Ty, Im closing this.
