June 4th, 2014

Hi all hope your all having a great time =)
I have this problem at my work place,
I am unable to login to some of my email accounts
ie: yahoo mail, hotmail, sportsbet
on each site i got 2 to 3 accounts
but for some reason I can login sometimes on 1 account but not on the 2 or 3 accounts
I already have done all this procedures to isolate the problems:
1st try on different browsers, Firefox, IE9, Chrome, Safari <—- No luck didn’t work
2nd uninstall all the browsers and try again <—No luck didn’t work
3rd unplug the unmanaged switch connected to the modem router WAG160N <— No luck didn’t work
4th reset the modem router settings to default <—- still didn’t work
5th uninstall the antivirus on my computer including firewall settings <— No luck again still didn’t work
Im running out of options here I hope any1 could help me regarding this matter….
I tried all the PC’s at my work and have the same effect that I cannot access login to emails account.
Please help anybody
thanks in advance….

I believe that your workplace might be using proxy filtering and has either blocked or is checking to see what illegal sites are being used and then blocks them. No way around these. it will be company policy.
Answer #2
Just install Tails on a USB stick and boot from that

Thanks mrchatterb60 for your input, What if I have the authority to fiddle around the network and system could you be able to help me on fixing my problem? what should I do to find out if the proxy is the main culprit for blocking the email accounts or other https sites?
I am using a windows 7 machine and we don’t have any server on our work area just a normal networking setup with a WAG160N modem router Linksys, Linksys SLM2008 unmanaged switch, Dlink DIR635 as a switch and not a wireless router and a NAS only turned on if necessarily…
Thanks for your help gilly will try that as well…

Good news I have managed to solve the problem on my network which stops me from login to https accounts
the problem was on the modem router wag160n under security tabs where the filtering options are tick, this
should be untick on all the four filtering options, after this I was able to logon normally now… thanks for those who
gave their inputs much appreciated =)
