Problem installing Syndicate Black Box version

I installed the Black Box version of Syndicate but when I try to run the game I get a message saying that I don’t have permission to access the file. I have been able to run every game that I have installed so why won’t this one work? Do I need to apply the crack files or not?

You shouldn’t need any crack, at least there is no mention of it on the install notes on the NFO.
Try running the game as Administrator.

I didn’t have to run any other game as administrator to get them to work.

This is the message I just got even after I tried to run the game as an administrator “Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the permissions to access the item”. AVG also reports the exe as a virus.

Then probably that’s the problem. AVG is blocking or even deleting the .exe preventing you from running the game. I’m not sure if you can recover the file without reinstalling the game. Nevertheless, make sure you turn your antivirus off and then run the game.
Btw, AVG sucks pretty bad, you might want to consider getting a decent AV.
