Plaing Games on PS3

Hi all , I have PS3 slim on 3.55 CFW KMEAW. Right now iam able to play some old games but not new. But i want get the Blu ray disks of the new games from my friend to play them, But it asks for a firmware update. So is it by anyway possible to play those games with 3.55 CFW , So that i can still be able to play the old games or may be if another CFW comes out only then i want to upgrade.

you can try installing a firmware spoofer…
i’m not very familiar with the ps3 CFW stuff, but maybe this http://rebug.me/?p=1324 will help
this will trick your ps3 into thinking it’s on the 4.00 firmware
just make sure you download the 3.55 package
and don’t brick your ps3

i dont think that will solve it. last i remember is EBOOT fixes.

you cant play games 3.56+ search ps3 duplex they make SOME 3.66 games play on 3.55 or u can buy a true blue dongle that plays any game on 3.56-3.73

Ok i have installed it. Once i play any new game from Bluray disk. I’ll let you know.
Also can you please list out some good homebrew softwares. Like showtime on PS3. Iam not getting to make it work. Its getting installed but its not showing up.

actually, he is working on it at the moment, but someone leaked the bug he found so sony could patch it… he also stated that he won’t support backup managers and you’ll be installing packages inside Sony’s OFW, and not CFW (don’t ask me why :p)

Yes And no
It will be out at the end of December and it will play homebrew but it wont play downloaded games coz it wont have peek & Poke back up managers wont work
coz peek & poke wont be woking for 3.73 for awhile till they decrepit it so its not called CFW it will be called 3.73 jailbreak (When peek & Poke is decrepit It be CFW)

Some one did leak some info not all of it tho so sony cant patch it kakatotos on twitter said big fan i keep contact with him i went to his collage
