Photoshop help

i have an image and a colour selcted, when i click the bucket tool on the part of the image, it for some reasons colours the image in a darker colour.
Any help?

Are you using the correct color? By that I mean, are you selecting the correct color as Foreground/Background?..

I click the white area and it changes colour fine but when i click the picture bit, where the section is pink thats when it goes dark.

Umm… Change both the colors to the one that you want. Then try again o.o” also, Try a paintbrush tool, and check if the same color shows up using the paintbrush (as a test)

the paint brush shows the colour, while the bucket doesnt on the picture.

you useing indexed (256 colors) or RGB (16 million colors) color
look under image/mode menu
RGB (jpeg) is what you want

also, check if the “mode” is set to normal not say “overlay” or “color dodge” or something like that. see the pic to see what i mean.

if that isnt it, post a screenshot of PS just before and after you use the paint bucket so we can see whats going on in there.
