PC Technicion Utilities

Hi, I am a beginner technician and i am looking for some utilities that can halp me in my work. i don’t know for example a utility to check the cpu or memory that are good. and something like that.
or even a suggested hardware that i need to have.

I would ALWAYS carry atleast a 4GB Pen drive. I Personally have a 16GB Corsair voyager, which is awesome. I would also look at portable versions of Office 07, and an Antivirus program.

Just an add-on to that, I would also get a portable Windows/OS.
DamnSmall Linux is pretty good if you know how to use Linux. If your a Windows guy, get a portable version of WindowsXP =P
Also, no offense, but you need to Spell/Grammar check stuff if your going into ANY field of work.

memtest, the latest service packs for xp and vista (3 and 1 respectively)
