New PC after X years i need your help guys

August 7th, 2016

So here i am with nowhere left to go; i need a new PC i and i just can’t decide… for 4 years now i’ve been using the Acer 8530g laptop which ran Crysis 2 on high and everything else up to 2011…and my old PC is 10 years old still alive though but anyway the time has come i’ve been saving for A WHILE now and i need professional opinion….
I know that builds won’t last long but i want to do my best and with you fellow gamers together build a PC that will pack a punch…
My budget is 2000$ and maybe a bit more; Now what i understand the killers in buying a new PC and the graphics and the monitor they are the most expensive stuff so lets build this together nice and easy… i have a build in mind but i am OPEN for any advices, critics and suggestions…
CPU: i5 4670k CPU Cooler: Arctic Cooling Freezer i30
BOARD: Sabertooth Z87 RAM: Kingston 8GB (2x4gb) @1866Mhz
Graphics: Gigabyte Radeon 7970 3GB Ghz edition
hard drives: Intel 180gb SSD 335 series + seagate barracuda 3tb
PSU: Seasonic 750w km3 Case: Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced
Screen : Asus VG248QE
So far this is what i planned i dont know if i forgot something..BUT please anyone let me know if i did something wrong or if there will be any hate between the parts; Yes i plan to overclock the CPU right away to 4.0 so the small cooler should hold at least i hope and maybe ill clock the graphics a little also not sure…Could you recommend me a better combination i know this build won’t hold that long but i hope it will get the job done. I just hope this build will be cool enough for 1080p gaming on that screen whaddya say ? Again i ask if there are any better suggestions let me know…a better hdd combo, another graphics card ? new screen ? anything thx in advance

processor is fine, very good choice, but you really doesn’t need a haswell cpu haswell performs just 10% morethan ivy bridge (as they have good demand they are very cost)
go for the i7 3770k which is more than enough for gaming(it became cheaper with the release of haswell)
and find a good mobo, buy an asus one though, they are costly, they sell good products and good customer care support
dont get gigabyte gpu , they are the worst, you can find many complaints on them on amazon.com and many more websites and they have poor customer service
770 is 5% more faster than 7970ghz and 770-$400,7970ghz-$450,do you want to pay 50 dollars more for getting 5% less performance
780 is 22% faster than 7970ghz and 780-$650 and choose from those two cards according to budget
Recomended-ASUS GTX 780 DirectCU II OC 3 GB or ASUS 770
psu: i dont know much about psu. “swords to plowshare” is the best guy to ask about psu.you can find him in the forum
hdd: WD My Book Essential is a good company than seagate .Infact it is the no.1 company for hard disk

I for one don’t really overclock anymore these days.
Overclocking is really degenerating value compared to the past. It just happens that running stock values makes your system last a bit longer and more stable. My preferred GPU board manufacturer happens to be Galaxy, I haven’t seen them cutting corners at all. And you don’t have to buy Intel’s SSDs.
Apple prefers to use Samsungs.
Thanks . Seasonic units are fine, I have an older model and its hybrid fan mode is quite good.
Cleaning powersupply for dust is essentially easier and don’t have to do it that often. On normal usage, the fan won’t spin at all.
