need to unlock my bios with my dell xps 720…

hello i need to unlock my bios from dell. i am running a xps 720 and the bios is locked so you cant overclock removing the bios buttery (forgot the name) will not help as the info is in the chip because dell wanted people to go crazy because overclock is locked….

try hiren’s boot CD or PCbeginers CD, both have pw utilities and are in aapz or AIO section

I don’t think there is any way of unlocking the BIOS to overclock. I might be wrong so try ‘s advice but I think that the only way of getting around the lock is to get a new mother board. However, Dell make PC cases for their own motherboard so finding a motherboard that fits would be somewhat of a challenge. However, if you do get a nice MoBo you would be able to make a real PC out of that Dell and use all it’s potential(almost). You can use programs such as ClockGen or CPUFSB but they will get you only a small boost. Good luck mate ^_^

I don’t know why BIOS would be locked, but the XPS 720 range are already pushed hard, especially the H2C–everything is overclocked.

need bios code *******-595B to calculate unlock code.
