Need to unlock document

I have a password protected .docx document, but forgot the password.
Is there a method to unlock the document without a password?
Need some urgent help please!

hmmm…. there are some apps around which are not free,and claim to unlock word pworded docs ,but i have not used ,so cannot recommend ,but u might like to try one … { use Google to find them }

In PowerPoint the way to do it is: NOT SURE OF WORD
Open the file if you can and just wish to edit it then save the file using the save as then click at the bottom chevron on the save dialogue box. On clicking this ^ you will see tools click and drop down and use general options there you can remove or change the existing password.. it will be starred just remove stars add you own or delete..then continue to save now you can open and edit the file as your own
It does work for Words docx
