As a person that has taken three years of Japanese. You are all a bit inaccurate. The -ar sound does not have a ル at the end. That character is usually reserved for words with a -ul, -le, and -el at the end. (bull, table, bell, etc.) And depending on how you pronounce the “loo” part, the characters would either be ル for “lu” or ロ for “low”. Though since there are two o’s in Niloofar I’m guessing it’s going for the “lu” sound so the best Katakana translation for this name is ニルファー (nee-ru-faah)
