Need Some Help, ISO Related

August 5th, 2016

I’m relatively new to , a friend pointed me this way. I like the large selections of games here, even if most people go through “Rapid-Share”. I only have one problem. A lot of games are downloaded to become ISOs. And well, I’m unexperienced with those.
I looked up Dark Forces here and downloaded the single file ISO, put into an RAR file. I looked up ISOs, and understood what you’re supposed to do with them. If I’m correct, you are supposed to use a program that can send ISO files to CDs or DVDs. I did just that with the Dark Forces ISO through Nero 7, or Nero 6, can’t remember which one it was. But once it was on the CD, it made no difference. It was just an ISO file written to the CD now, and it kind of confused me.
So if I’m doing something wrong please let me know. There’s a lot of older games here that are harder to find, and I’d really like to get my hands on them like Riven, Dark Forces, and Grim fandango.
Thanks.

I use Daemon tools.
Open Daemon tools.
Add image.
Mount image.
Then it should just run as if you have put a cd into your drive. No need to burn.
Answer #5
Power ISO is better, mount image or burn it
Answer #6
Does it have to be a CD? Just double checking.
Thanks for the help though.
Answer #7
If the ISO is 700 or less Then it’s a CD…If it’s over 700 MB then it’s a DVD…
Answer #8
Some games are saying that they have to go on multiple CDs, can’t you just put it all together on one or two DVDs.
Answer #9
Use Daemon tools for reading iso’s. They create a virtual drive on your PC, so you don’t need to burn any iso’s.

Just do that, that way you don’t need to burn it, save a disc

Okay, I’ve successfully mounted the game to an F drive using Daemon Tools and the game runs. Now, I just need to know if there’s a way to save my game, and make sound work.
In this case, I’m using Dark Forces.
Any tips?
Thanks.
