Hi, my computer is running extremely slow for no reason at all. I have windows vista and it takes me about 2-3 minutes to open up internet explorer, and about 30-40 minutes just to download java. And i have no virus/malware what’s so ever. So can anyone help me please ?

I have it on my 2nd Main desktop and been using it for 2 months now i think. haven’t had any problems so far.
Answer #7
I would reformat first, install any OS, for better performace I would choose XP.
Then see if its any better. A fresh install will always work. If its still slow it could be a hardware issue.
Computers always get a bit slow after a while, a lot of junk can ‘build up’. Running degrafs, tune up utilities is a good program to do all registry cleaning, junk file cleaning and uninstaller.
Try ccleaner
speed up my pc
and tune up utilities
Answer #8
I have reformatted and installed the OS 3-4 times, still runs slow as hell. And i have defragged my computer and tried tune up utilities but no beuno :/.
Would getting a new hard drive fix everything?
Answer #9
Whats the size of your main hard drive? (C: and how much space left from it?
Answer #10
How much dust is in your computer I know my graphics card seems to work better after I hoover a few months dust from it. If you put the hoover half a cm from the fan it should spin the fan and remove lots on dust. make sure you remove any static charge from yourself and the hoover first though.

DBAN = Darik’s Boot And Nuke? probably your hard drive is failing.

-Downgrade from Vista to XP and wait for Windows 7 to be official release. (June 2 is when the RC 7 expired.)
-Type Msconfig in Run(Windows Button + R) and Click on the “Start up” tab and deselect the unneeded.
