Missing Audio with XP Performance Dec. 2009

September 13th, 2018

How are you? Would anyone please tell me what I should do in order to get the audio to work on my Dell Inspiron 9100?
I’ve done this so far on that PC:
1. Installed “XP Performance Edition (dec. 2009)”
2. Installed INTEL Driver
3. Installed SIGMATEL Driver
All of the drivers I installed seem to work fine, except I still don’t have any audio on the machine. What am I missing? How can I force the audio to work on this modified version of XP?
Thanks for your time & help, in advance. I’ll appreciate any help on this topic.

put
devmgmt.msc

Thanks! Would you or anyone else please tell me how to change the .wav sound on the audio-program for Windows XP Professional? When I shut-down & log-off Windows XP Pro, I don’t hear any of the default sounds that usually come from the system.
Please help me. I know there’s a wizard (dialog-menu) that allows XP-users to test (and change) the default list of audio-files that come from Windows XP.

XP Performance Dec. 2009
being a striped version this may not contain those or any system sounds
go to “Sounds and Audio Devices” in “control panel” to check
