Mass Effect 2 to ME 3 character import

the game doesnt detect my former char for some reason.
where do i have to copy my former savegames?

C:\Documents and Settings\Your_login_name\My Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect 2\Save
Windows 7
C:\Users\Your_login_name\Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect 2\Save
If it doesn’t get detected when you try to import it..You might have to download a save..
