I saw under the HDD properties windows has a backup feature, whoever uses window’s build in program anyways .
Well tomorrow’s going to be copy and paste fun day then =/.
Answer #4
the best way to backup your stuff is to make a partition with enough space for everything you want to back up, for this i recommend Acronis Disk Director Suite
it’s easy and fast to use
and after making the partition, copy paste everything you want to backup there and just reformat on the drive you have windows installed, not the backup one obviously ;P
hope it helps, good luck

Acronis has a prog true image I think where you can select individual files to back up as image. Or try migrate easy which backs up files to another hdd to use on your system.
Answer #6
I would put everything on a New HDD but thats just me!
Answer #7
I normally use a program called Acronis True Image (mentioned earlier) to create a complete backup of your existing HDD to a usb drive. That’s because I always tend to miss things in the copy and paste method. This way I can later mount the image as a dirve letter and select individual files that I require on a as needs basis.
Answer #8
You don’t need any Acronis Disk Director Suite or Norton Ghost or an backup tools….As mentioned above..you only need Copy/Paste…It’s only data…

copy paste or burn to cd or put all your files onto a HDD, using other programs is more riskier then doing it the normal way
