Lcd Wide Screen Question Guys
August 4th, 2016
Am thinking of buying Samsung 23″ wide but the question is :
Does it differ in watching movies ?! We all know that movies on normal screens and non wide screens will have black background at both bottom and upward of the screen around 30% of the screen !
What about wide screen ?! Will the movie take the whole screen ?
It depends on the resolution of the movie you are watching. But in general it will have black background at both bottom and upward of the screen for a very small portion.
Well most movies, well i should say all movies released as off something like 2001? are wide screen. I have a 22″ monitor and all the DVDs or movies i download/watch are widescreen and take up the full 1680×1050 pixel resolution. Your only issue will be the extra inch? which i dont think will change anything at all maybe loose say afew millimetres on the top and bottom (usually black bars). I hope this answers your question
So it is better than LCD 23 Inch normal screen , as it leaves huge blacks at both bottom and upward !
I have a 24″ lcd (1920×1200) And all the movies I watched have blacks .
I have a 24" lcd (1920x1200) And all the movies I watched have blacks .
Use bsplayerpro / vlc and change the aspect ratio to 16:9 and it should fill up your screen without stretching too much. I do it all the time , and no problems whatsoever.

No no no, the samsung 24″ aspect ratio (witch i have aswell t240) is 16:10, so movies are 16:9 but you could probably make them go over the whole screen

Movies are 2.4:1 or 1.85:1. 16:9 is the widescreen TV Aspect Ratio.
