iphone have ebook reader?

i’m planning on getting iphone on the 1st, but curious does iphone come with a build-in ebook reader app? without having to jailbreak the phone..

it doesn’t have a built-in one, but you can install a pdf reader for it. I have one on mine and it’s great

Yes, you need to jailbreak first. After that you will have several options to read ebooks.
1. Safari Pach (from “Installer”) who will let you to open local files (PDF, DOC, HTML) from the internal memory. Im using this and is working.
2. PDFViewer – You can gat this using Installer or downloading from “http://iphone.natetrue.com/” and installing manually. More difficult to figureout than using Installer but is working.
3. Books – an excelent reader for HTML and TXT documents. “http://code.google.com/p/iphoneebooks/”
4. MobileCHM – If you want to read HTML manuals compiled in CHM format, this is your choice.
5. iComic – Good Comics reader. “http://code.google.com/p/iphonecomic/”, “http://www.iphoneskinning.com/2007/12/iphone-comic-reader.html”
And in the future I expect more apps for reading ebooks.
