Iphone downloading question – view on laptop/dropbox?

i have installed dropbox on my laptop and iphone, now can i download files from the iphone itself to save itself to dropbox, or move files on the phone handset? or is this operation limited to a main computer…
also is it possible to download files (fileserve, rapidshare) on the iphone itself over wifi and viewing these on a laptop easily…
i have downloaded an app called “download” but its a browser and i’m not sure how it works…
i want to be able to download movie files on my iphone and see these on my laptop…and play them on a bigger screen? what’s the best optio
You wanna download to your phone and play on your laptop?
Why not just use your phone to download them on your laptop?
