iPhone 3G – Unsupported file format

July 25th, 2016

So I’m going on a vacation today and I’ve been trying to rip Friends so they work on my iPhone 3G. I’ve read and complied with the software specifications and the first 14 episodes play great (given the hardware quality of the second gen iPhone) but the rest of them issue “Unsupported file format” error box, even though they use the same encoding settings as the first 14 episodes. I use Sony Vegas 10, and you can see the screenshot of my encoding settings on this link:

P.S. The audio settings are 44.1KHz @ 96kbps

Use this app:
https://itunes.apple.com/en/app/avplayer/id395680819
It has never failed me, i’ve been using it for years. It doesn’t require any encoding or anything, just drag and drop the video files into the app’s Documents folder and just play the video!
